Shift is Organisational Structure

Organisations are moving out from typical hierarchical structure to more flat and networked structure. With the change in structure, organisational decision-making process is also changing from centralized to de-centralized decision-making. The concept of virtual working groups are being introduced, where employees need not physically move to project locations but instead can participate from their own work locations. All these are possible, if organisations integrate their information flow on a common network for which they need to integrate information technology.
